Grumeti Luxury Tented Camp - Tanzania

July this year (2010) will see the opening of Grumeti Luxury Tented Camp, a sustainable travel project situated in the Grumeti Wildlife Reserve of Tanzania. This is part of the Serengeti/Mara ecosystem that supports in excess of four million wild animals in a variety of local habitats. Most interestingly it is situated along the main migration corridor from the Mara to Serengeti. This makes it perfect for migration watchers and general wildlife enthusiasts since the migration goes on at times no more than a few meters from camp.

GLTC offers a new concept in this regard. It does not thrive on ostentation and is as seamlessly as possible blended into the natural environment. The main reason for this is to make as limited an impact as possible on the environment in exchange for the privilege of being there.

We will both be in Tanzania for a lot of 2010 helping to bring the project into full effect. Check out the blogs for more info...
